Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Hodei came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute of the match Jose Correa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guo Han Di showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Oldham Athletic's Cristian-Federico Dolić. But to his dismay, Cristian-Federico Dolić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Anxo Cecilia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Oldham Athletic's Cristian-Federico Dolić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Zhao Yao Ying in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 21 played minutes Oldham Athletic's Anxo Cecilia stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Jonathan Ferrant stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Venezuela of the goal. In the 25thth minute of the game Zhao Yao Ying who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led Oldham Athletic's Cristian-Federico Dolić to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 30 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Oldham Athletic players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guo Han Di was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guo Han Di. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian-Federico Dolić struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oldham Athletic. After 47 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhao Yao Ying made a kick off. Anxo Cecilia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anxo Cecilia in the 54th minute of play. Braulio Hodei struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oldham Athletic. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhao Yao Ying in the 60th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Cristian-Federico Dolić sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guo Han Di. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Oldham Athletic's Sune Axelsson was substituted for Cristian-Federico Dolić. In the 68th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Oldham Athletic's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jonathan Venegas was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhao Yao Ying, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Hodei in the 78th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Guo Han Di in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 86 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Zhao Yao Ying kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Sune Axelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Oldham Athletic walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
