Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th minute Costa Rica were awarded a corner. Axel Tasis went to the cornerflag to take it. Sabin Cândroveanu charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sabin Cândroveanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, -BZF- Valea Buzăului was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabin Cândroveanu to maneuver through the defense. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Sabin Cândroveanu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Ferrant in the 18 minute of the game. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's attentive Claudiu Bădulescu managed to snatch the ball when Efrain Moruga made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. Lautaro Puig's late challenge caught a -BZF- Valea Buzăului's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lautaro Puig helped the player get up and apologised. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ana Ţugui having to interfere. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Ana Ţugui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 32nd minute of play. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Claudiu Bădulescu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Abel Carballo in the 37 minute of the game. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Ioanițiu in the 42nd minute. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Sabin Cândroveanu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Ferrant, made in the 45th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Gelu Jumancă got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ana Ţugui made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to -BZF- Valea Buzăului getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Sabin Cândroveanu hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Moruga during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th match minute, -BZF- Valea Buzăului was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabin Cândroveanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute of the match Axel Tasis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ana Ţugui skillfully saved the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Tăcutu in the 91st minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Claudiu Bădulescu. Efrain Moruga made in the 93rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Claudiu Bădulescu. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 94th minute.
