The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kang Ke Zhen came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dionisio Guter in the 8th minute. Dionisio Guter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Dionisio Guter slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Globalización's Dante Frascuelo managed to reach the ball for a save. Globalización's Dante Frascuelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Dante Frascuelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Dionisio Guter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute Globalización were awarded a corner. Juan Txilar went to the cornerflag to take it. Globalización's Jiang Bo Yan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice moves Kang Ke Zhen could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Dante Frascuelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Dionisio Guter who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Globalización's Juan Txilar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ecuador. Juan Txilar shot from long distance in the 43rd minute, but Julio Vera was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 44th minute. A collision led to Globalización getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alejandro Ascencio hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Dionisio Guter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Dante Frascuelo in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Guter in the 59th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Globalización made a substitution. Artemio Urbasa replaced Dionisio Guter. 64 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Urbasa came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artemio Urbasa in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Globalización's Ruperto Bingen was substituted for Juan Txilar. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Frascuelo having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to Ecuador's goalie finding himself so far out he could grab the ball Kang Ke Zhen tried to make a shot after getting passed the defense. Julio Vera seemed to really have strength and confidence after that save. With a little luck, Globalización's Dante Frascuelo got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Frascuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 96th minute of play. Globalización's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
