Rubén Flores helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CA Boca Jrs booed when ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubén Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enzo Cinalli got free with Remigio Valerón in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute, Ermanno Marrone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Enzo Cinalli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuele Brandolini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Remigio Valerón having to make a save. In the 13th minute, Anoush Rott ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remigio Valerón was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's zone, Anoush Rott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Valerón came out of the goal and Anoush Rott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the game, Jakes Vila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Adriano Alfieri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO from getting a goal against them. CA Boca Jrs's Ermanno Marrone shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Remigio Valerón but with some difficulty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anoush Rott in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Valerón prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Anoush Rott kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Remigio Valerón. That made the score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. When Enzo Cinalli came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the CA Boca Jrs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enzo Cinalli couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the match, Edmondo Frezza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Remigio Valerón, 3-1. After a rather tough play, CA Boca Jrs's Ermanno Marrone got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anoush Rott was the one to do the kick off. Remigio Valerón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Cinalli in the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Guillermo Rapado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remigio Valerón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anoush Rott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes CA Boca Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Emanuele Brandolini. Jakes Vila was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Emanuele Brandolini kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Rapado to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute Guido Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Alfieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Di Luzio made in the 76th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ermanno Marrone however managed to control. Remigio Valerón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermanno Marrone in the 78th minute of the match. Adriano Alfieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Enzo Cinalli took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remigio Valerón. Remigio Valerón dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Remigio Valerón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Cinalli in the 87th minute of the match. Remigio Valerón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Cinalli in the 88th minute of play. If Anoush Rott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saverio Castelao's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Adriano Alfieri firmly grabbed it by the left post. CA Boca Jrs's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
