The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Marlin FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Aybek Orcun hit a great ball. Giovanni Rana's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giovanni Rana helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Rana. 27 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Carlos Alvarez. Marlin FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 32 minutes into the game, Marlin FC's Linus Fredriksson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 34 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Yin Yang came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Aybek Orcun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Carlos Alvarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yin Yang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. The supporters of Colombia booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Arixo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Linus Fredriksson to strike the kick off in the second half. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 56th minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Carlos Alvarez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 58th minute of the match, Abram Sarmiento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juan Carlos Alvarez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Axel Montenegro got free in front of the goal in the 61st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Juan Carlos Alvarez was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yin Yang in the 63rd minute of play. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Carlos Alvarez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 75th minute, Linus Fredriksson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marlin FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. When Santino Seco came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santino Seco couldn't finish the play. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Abram Secada kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juan Carlos Alvarez. That made the score 3-3 in the 94 minute of play. Marlin FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
