Zhuo Chao made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zhuo Chao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 25th minute. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
