The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Remo Dracena took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 3rd minute of play forced AL TOKE FC's goalkeeper Denis Gilabert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute of the match, Zeledon Mendez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thiago Pliego was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. AL TOKE FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ture Dybro in the 20th minute. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remo Dracena in the 23rd minute. If Guillermo Fontirroig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilio Romagnoli in the 27th minute of the match. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilio Romagnoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute of the match AL TOKE FC got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ture Dybro ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on AL TOKE FC's corner Ture Dybro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thiago Pliego quite easily take care of the ball. Jean-Paul van der Leegte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Dracena in the 36th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Remo Dracena recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thiago Pliego. Remo Dracena showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Emanuel Orain made in the 44th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Chile's Pedro Indiano. Francisco Carballar lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 45th minute, one of Chile:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chile. Thiago Pliego had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Ture Dybro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 3-0 came in the 48th minute when Ture Dybro all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Casaus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Paul van der Leegte in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Atilio Romagnoli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atilio Romagnoli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 61 in the game Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig showed how dangerous he can be in front of the goal when he by his own managed to get a clear opportunity for a shot. The following shot went just left of the goal. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Paul van der Leegte in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Guillermo Fontirroig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Dracena in the 69th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Jean-Paul van der Leegte came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the AL TOKE FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Paul van der Leegte couldn't finish the play. Jean-Paul van der Leegte kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilio Romagnoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Atilio Romagnoli hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. If Orlando Casaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Chile booed when AL TOKE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Paul van der Leegte didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Orlando Casaus took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Gilabert. Denis Gilabert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. AL TOKE FC's Jonatan Reyes was substituted for Jean-Paul van der Leegte. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AL TOKE FC had won after a very even match.
