Maximo Horquizar came out of the goal and Dariusz Brysz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sporting Buceo's Maximo Horquizar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktoras Rurin in the 35th minute of play. Rainier Gregoire blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Artur Boruc having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktoras Rurin in the 40th minute of play forced Sporting Buceo's goalkeeper Maximo Horquizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximo Horquizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktoras Rurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dariusz Brysz was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Isaias Jakue had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Boruc. After a rather tough play, FC Devils's Dariusz Brysz got a free kick in the 70th minute. FC Devils's Ignacy Urban was substituted for Isaac Henrico. A collision led to FC Devils getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Dariusz Brysz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavies Casavela in the 73rd minute of play forced FC Devils's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacy Urban struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Maximo Horquizar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Devils. Artur Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xinto Carreiras in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, FC Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Xinto Carreiras came free, but Artur Boruc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Xinto Carreiras notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of FC Devils's Artur Boruc. Artur Boruc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Devils's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
