Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Brufoss IL's Emanuel Markham started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. In the 6th minute Kai Østbye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Emmanuel Schol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brufoss IL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. After 7 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Schol. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 11th minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Borys Witek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Markham. In the 16th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Witek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Markham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Kent Remme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Brufoss IL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Brufoss IL's Borys Witek managed to reach the ball for a save. A well done corner resulted in Luca Rouco drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind Brufoss IL's goalkeeper. In the 33rd minute, Kent Remme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brufoss IL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 36th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Witek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Markham in the 40th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Markham's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dante Lacasa firmly grabbed it by the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Jan-Kenneth Heistad got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emmanuel Schol hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Borys Witek. Borys Witek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Borys Witek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borys Witek having to interfere. Brufoss IL's Are Høiby was substituted for Kevin Strømsnes. Brufoss IL's Kajetan Kazimierz was substituted for Anders Elstad. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Remme, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Are Høiby kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Borys Witek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Brufoss IL's Emanuel Markham in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. Kai Østbye took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Brufoss IL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo scored to the left of an out of position Borys Witek, making the score, 3-3. Borys Witek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Borys Witek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Mexico booed when Brufoss IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Schol didn't get a good kick on the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
