Quebrachitos FC's Oscar Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Emanuel Mogel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quebrachitos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Quebrachitos FC's Enrique Neron got a free kick in the 76th minute. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Mogel in the 79th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote threw the ball into play from the sideline. Quebrachitos FC's Anacleto Sendoa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 81st match minute, Quebrachitos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Sendoa to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Ekhi having to interfere. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Emanuel Mogel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. If Emanuel Mogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Emanuel Mogel came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Quebrachitos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Mogel couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Quebrachitos FC had played much better football throughout.
