In the 3rd minute Dionisio Chorche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Rios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barbudos FC's Xu Jun Cheng got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the game, Barbudos FC's Isidro Oliviero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Rios made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 9th minute Barbudos FC were awarded a corner. Keno Cantona went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Barbudos FC booed when MXL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Ofelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Barbudos FC's Isidro Oliviero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After 16 played minutes MXL FC got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Lluc. 17 minutes into the match, MXL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Oliviero came free, but Rodrigo Rios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes, Eustacio Lluc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MXL FC and the Barbudos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dionisio Chorche hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Juan Sayvion struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Omar Abadia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MXL FC. The supporters of Barbudos FC booed when MXL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Cordarin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Rios stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidro Oliviero's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 32 minutes, Isidro Oliviero made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. MXL FC's Rodrigo Rios tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Omar Abadia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Victor Gomez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 35 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Isidro Oliviero put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Rodrigo Rios. Barbudos FC's Dionisio Chorche got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Rios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Oliviero in the 43rd minute of the match. Isidro Oliviero took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodrigo Rios. Rodrigo Rios dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Gomez made a kick off. If Isidro Oliviero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Isidro Oliviero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodrigo Rios. That made the score 1-6 in the 53 minute of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Isidro Oliviero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MXL FC's Rodrigo Rios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barbudos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gareth Bala in the 60th minute. After 60 played minutes Barbudos FC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Rojas. 63 minutes into the match, Barbudos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Gomez came free, but Omar Abadia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Isidro Oliviero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barbudos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Isidro Oliviero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Rios read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. With a little luck, MXL FC's Rodrigo Rios got control of the ball when Baltasar Ladio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Omar Abadia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Gomez in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Barbudos FC's Isidro Oliviero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodrigo Rios. Rodrigo Rios yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. Barbudos FC's Yin Qian Han was substituted for Isidro Oliviero. After 87 played minutes MXL FC got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Lluc. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yin Qian Han in the 91st minute of play forced MXL FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Rios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Abadia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Gomez in the 94th minute of the match. The Barbudos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Barbudos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
