The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Hernandez was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pietro Salles got free with Paulo Rosio in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 82 minutes Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juliusz Cezar who took care of the corner kick. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Equipo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
