After 44 minutes, Tomás Mangueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Astros de México and the Real Ayuntamiento CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Astros de México getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Tomás Mangueira hit a great ball. Tevfik Sabri came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Ayuntamiento CF's Feliberto Distiratsu. But to his dismay, Feliberto Distiratsu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iker Dei made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leandro Bartoleme during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Real Ayuntamiento CF's Faustino Frichoso was substituted for Damazy Tomaszewski. The supporters of Real Ayuntamiento CF booed when Astros de México was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blažej Blazejowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tevfik Sabri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Real Ayuntamiento CF played a much better game than Astros de México and deserved their victory. The Astros de México players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
