In the 9th match minute, Astros de México was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Pena to maneuver through the defense. Astros de México's Antoni Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rien Oss in the 10th minute of play. Rien Oss might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antoni Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rien Oss ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rien Oss in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antoni Lopes saved Astros de México from getting behind. Vito Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Baron Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Rien Oss sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antoni Lopes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd minute of the match Los Muñes de Don Cuco got a corner. Astros de México's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guaberto Jacindo ran over to the corner to take the kick. 27 minutes into the game, Rien Oss cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Antoni Lopes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute Rien Oss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Rien Oss left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Muñes de Don Cuco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The audience was convinced that Rien Oss's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antoni Lopes was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Astros de México's goalkeeper Antoni Lopes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Fábio Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fábio Pena charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Pena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Astros de México's Fábio Pena got a free kick in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Rien Oss might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antoni Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rien Oss ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rien Oss in the 52nd minute of play forced Astros de México's goalkeeper Antoni Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute Rien Oss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Rien Oss cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Antoni Lopes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rien Oss blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antoni Lopes having to make a save. Antoni Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rien Oss in the 58th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Astros de México's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Pero came free, but Antoni Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iker Losada struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Antoni Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Muñes de Don Cuco. In the 70th minute, Iker Losada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoni Lopes came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Ramon Pero. But to his dismay, Ramon Pero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Antoni Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Pero in the 80th minute of play. Ramon Pero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antoni Lopes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After 83rd play minutes Ramon Pero shot 0-7, a short shot which went by Antoni Lopes and just under the crossbar into goal. After 86 minutes, Ramon Pero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Muñes de Don Cuco and the Astros de México players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Los Muñes de Don Cuco getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ramon Pero hit a great ball. Fábio Pena hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Guaberto Jacindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baron Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Quintin in the 92nd minute of play. Ramon Pero might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antoni Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramon Pero ran back to his position shaking his head. Antoni Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Pero in the 93rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Pero in the 96th minute of play forced Astros de México's goalkeeper Antoni Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Astros de México's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Guaberto Jacindo was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Muñes de Don Cuco's players had a chance to rest.
