A collision led to Vikingos FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Arsenio Manuelo hit a great ball. Orvar Alegren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastián Sosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Vikingos FC's Vladimiro Lauro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jose Laffitte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 15 played minutes Ej. Hermosillo B.C. got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Escobar. 16 minutes into the match, Ej. Hermosillo B.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Lauro came free, but Jose Laffitte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Laffitte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Lauro in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Elano Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ej. Hermosillo B.C.'s goalkeeper Jose Laffitte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Vladimiro Lauro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ej. Hermosillo B.C.'s Jose Laffitte. Jose Laffitte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vladimiro Lauro in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jose Laffitte saved Ej. Hermosillo B.C. from getting behind. In the 46th match minute, Vikingos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo-César Maldini to maneuver through the defense. Tom Murillo struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Sebastián Sosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ej. Hermosillo B.C.. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Lauro in the 53rd minute of play forced Ej. Vikingos FC played a much better game than Ej. Hermosillo B.C. and deserved their victory. The Ej. Hermosillo B.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
