Darkness's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ole-Gunnar Klose was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the last second Celso Hartz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ole-Gunnar Klose in the 7thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's Celso Hartz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ole-Gunnar Klose in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Celedonio Abajas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Luna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Hartz made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Ole-Gunnar Klose sent off a good shot on target. If Ole-Gunnar Klose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Darkness's Ole-Gunnar Klose ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Celso Hartz. Celso Hartz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Celso Hartz was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Ole-Gunnar Klose capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ole-Gunnar Klose really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, Darkness's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Madaleno came free, but Pete Luna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celedonio Abajas in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pete Luna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's Celso Hartz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ole-Gunnar Klose in the 31st minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Ole-Gunnar Klose had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Hartz. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ole-Gunnar Klose was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Tomás Madaleno fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's protests and gave Tomás Madaleno a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th match minute, FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Madaleno to maneuver through the defense. If Ole-Gunnar Klose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Rodriguinho Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Darkness fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodriguinho Duarte couldn't finish the play. Gaston Benino kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Celso Hartz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ole-Gunnar Klose, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Pete Luna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Celso Hartz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 47th minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Paulo Hermes was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute of the game Serafin Cebo made a throw-in which Gaston Benino played forward. With a little luck, Darkness's Pete Luna got control of the ball when Celedonio Abajas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ole-Gunnar Klose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ole-Gunnar Klose blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso Hartz having to make a save. Zé Paulo Hermes in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pete Luna, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 62 played minutes Darkness got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Seguinus. Darkness's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Tomás Madaleno scored to the left of an out of position Pete Luna, making the score, 4-1. 69 minutes into the game, one of FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Darkness. Nicolas Orland stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Celso Hartz. 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ole-Gunnar Klose in the 76th minute of play forced FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's goalkeeper Celso Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Hartz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ole-Gunnar Klose in the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nicolas Orland was slow to take the kick. During this time Darkness's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Paulo Hermes got free with Pete Luna in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celso Hartz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ole-Gunnar Klose in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's Ricardo Galeno got a free kick in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Tomás Madaleno recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pete Luna. Tomás Madaleno showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-2. After a defensive mix-up in FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's zone, Ole-Gunnar Klose stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Hartz came out of the goal and Ole-Gunnar Klose tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celso Hartz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodriguinho Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ole-Gunnar Klose blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso Hartz having to make a save.
