An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Alcântara in the 7th minute of play forced Chaves U21's goalkeeper Oscar Loi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Loi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Opilano in the 9th minute of play. Medero Aballe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Alejandro Gavilanes made a huge save. In the 13th minute Apolo Opilano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Loi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Loi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Matai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Medero Aballe in the 18th minute of play forced Yucatan F.C.'s goalkeeper Alejandro Gavilanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yucatan F.C.'s Apolo Opilano got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chaves U21's goalkeeper Oscar Loi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Apolo Opilano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Loi. Chaves U21's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Apolo Opilano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Oscar Loi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benicio Loiola went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Loiola in the 33rd minute of play forced Chaves U21's goalkeeper Oscar Loi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benicio Loiola scored 0-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Loi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oscar Loi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Opilano in the 37th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Chaves U21's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Loiola came free, but Oscar Loi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Raimundo Cidro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chaves U21's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yucatan F.C. the free kick. Oscar Loi came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Yucatan F.C.'s Benicio Loiola. But to his dismay, Benicio Loiola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Medero Aballe got free with Alejandro Gavilanes in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tião Alcântara to make the kick off. The supporters of Chaves U21 booed when Yucatan F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Sansone didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Chaves U21's goal looked a bit too open when Tião Alcântara came free, but Oscar Loi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes of play, Yucatan F.C.'s Apolo Opilano made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oscar Loi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benicio Loiolas short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Oscar Loi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benicio Loiola did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Oscar Loi 61 minutes into the match. Yucatan F.C. made a substitution. Victor Gartzen replaced Ruben Lluterio. 66 minutes into the match, Benicio Loiola dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oscar Loi, 0-7. In the 69th minute, Yucatan F.C.'s Tião Alcântara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Benicio Loiola came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oscar Loi could save by the left post. Juan Gabriel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Loi having to make a save. After some careless play in the Chaves U21 defense, Benicio Loiola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Loi. The Chaves U21 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Loi should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute, Apolo Opilano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oscar Loi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. 85 minutes into the game, Apolo Opilano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-11. Oscar Loi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oscar Loi made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Benicio Loiola sent off a good shot on target. 89 minutes into the match, Benicio Loiola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Loi. Chaves U21's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benicio Loiola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-12. Yucatan F.C.'s Enzo Manny was substituted for Benicio Loiola. Oscar Loi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Gabriel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yucatan F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
