After taking down the ball on Yucatan F.C.'s corner Apolo Opilano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Celso Hartz quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benicio Loiola in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celso Hartz saved FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá from getting behind. Celedonio Abajas hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Celso Hartz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Matai in the 13th minute of play. Celso Hartz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benicio Loiola's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Benicio Loiola sped through FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Celso Hartz. 17 minutes into the match, Benicio Loiola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Hartz. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benicio Loiola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of Yucatan F.C. booed when FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Pueblo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Hermes in the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Yucatan F.C.'s goalkeeper Higinio Pueblo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Shepherd. After 31 minutes Yucatan F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mauricio Gonzo who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Mauricio Gonzo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yucatan F.C.'s Higinio Pueblo did a great save. In the 32ndth minute of the game Zé Paulo Hermes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yucatan F.C.'s Higinio Pueblo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Paulo Hermes in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Higinio Pueblo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the game, Yucatan F.C.'s Apolo Opilano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celso Hartz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After a rather tough play, FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's Celedonio Abajas got a free kick in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Loiola in the 46th minute of play forced FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's goalkeeper Celso Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47thth minute of the game Zé Paulo Hermes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yucatan F.C.'s Higinio Pueblo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Paulo Hermes to strike the kick off in the second half. Yucatan F.C.'s Higinio Pueblo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Hermes in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Yucatan F.C.'s Cui Chen Feng got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 56 minutes of play, Yucatan F.C.'s Benicio Loiola made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Hartz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maximiliano Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Pueblo having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Paulo Hermes in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Higinio Pueblo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute Zé Paulo Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Pueblo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Gabriel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Celso Hartz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Maximiliano Shepherd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zé Paulo Hermes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Juan Gabriel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Hartz. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Gabriel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. A hard shot 86 in the game by Benicio Loiola from a close distance when the talented Celso Hartz managed to make a qualified save. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's players were relieved. Yucatan F.C.'s Ruben Lluterio got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enzo Manny came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Celso Hartz could save by the left post. Apolo Opilano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Celso Hartz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Zé Paulo Hermes hit a great ball. When the match was over Yucatan F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá throughout the match.
