The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes CF JABATOS got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Jaume. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The corner ended in Maximo Gomesano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Steelares FC's Eloy Gartxot did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicasio Barea in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Venancio Bihar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the match, Steelares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Gomesano came free, but Eloy Gartxot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Maximo Gomesano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. CF JABATOS were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Steelares FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maximo Gomesano took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ignacio Soter got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eloy Gartxot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Emanuel Vasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jacobo Gartzi fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Steelares FC's protests and gave Jacobo Gartzi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Steelares FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Jacobo Gartzi hit a great ball. Maximo Gomesano struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Eloy Gartxot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CF JABATOS. In the 42nd match minute, CF JABATOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Pes to maneuver through the defense. Venancio Bihar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Vasco in the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 played minutes CF JABATOS got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Fiz. In the 45th minute Nicasio Barea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Bihar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CF JABATOS's Eugenio Marz got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Emanuel Vasco made the kick off in the second half. If Maximo Gomesano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The coaching staff of Steelares FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Narciso Tab had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Steelares FC:s Eloy Gartxot showed great skill when he stopped Maximo Gomesano:s penalty. Eloy Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Jurgi in the 73rd minute of play. Maximo Gomesano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eloy Gartxot having to make a save. Eloy Gartxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Gomesano, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Steelares FC's Silvestre Adrio was substituted for Blas Bernabel. In the 86th minute Emanuel Vasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Bihar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 played minutes Steelares FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Marcones. Amadeo Marcones's late challenge caught a CF JABATOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeo Marcones helped the player get up and apologised. Amadeo Marcones kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CF JABATOS had played much better football throughout.
