Halcones Azules's Mustafa Hamit Özercan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Halcones Azules from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, 张真军 managed to get in a good position for a shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After a rather tough play, Halcones Azules's Candido Felo got a free kick in the 58th minute. Mustafa Hamit Özercan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobías Astorga in the 60th minute of play. Candido Felo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 89 played minutes, Halcones Azules's Honorato Florinio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benicio Javiero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Halcones Azules reached it. If 张真军 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Halcones Azules supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Halcones Azules would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
