The supporters of Santa Fe booed when Cacomixtles de Queretaro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paddy Attenborough didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestor Viviano hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Serafin Ugaitz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Steve Rogers. In the 12th minute Rafael Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Ugaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A very nice done corner allowed Rigoberto Lobo to score against Serafin Ugaitz in Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goal. 1-0 after 13 minutes. Serafin Ugaitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Tiniebra in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmelo Tiniebra in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serafin Ugaitz saved Cacomixtles de Queretaro from getting behind. Luis María Guadalupe came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Serafin Ugaitz could save by the left post. Carmelo Tiniebra took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafin Ugaitz. Serafin Ugaitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Serafin Ugaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Tiniebra in the 30th minute of play. Rafael Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute Severino Che shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Pancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafino Pancho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Henrico, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goalkeeper Serafin Ugaitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Fernando Pratto. When Generoso Semeno fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cacomixtles de Queretaro's protests and gave Generoso Semeno a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Cacomixtles de Queretaro got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Semeno. The audience thought a goal was coming when Generoso Semeno got free with Serafino Pancho in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isaac Österlund hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Isaac Österlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Serafin Ugaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Ramos in the 69th minute of play. In the 74th minute Juan Fernando Pratto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Ugaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafin Ugaitz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santa Fe's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
