Frutos Macedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iphitos Skandalis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. After 6 minutes of play, Tiburones Rojos's Paulino Lucian made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iphitos Skandalis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Tiburones Rojos's zone, Honorato Gaitan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferruccio Borrelli came out of the goal and Honorato Gaitan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iphitos Skandalis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. MEXICO's Iphitos Skandalis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save MEXICO from getting a goal against them. Tiburones Rojos's Ferruccio Borrelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Rosio in the 46th minute of play.

Tiburones Rojos made a substitution. Aristides Urtsin replaced Feliciano Sesuldo. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aristides Urtsin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ferruccio Borrelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaston Rosio in the 55th minute. In the 59th minute Albano Luke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iphitos Skandalis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaston Rosio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ferruccio Borrelli made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, Albano Luke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iphitos Skandalis. MEXICO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albano Luke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Ferruccio Borrelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Eladio, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Tiburones Rojos booed when MEXICO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Loramendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 minutes of play, Tiburones Rojos's Albano Luke made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iphitos Skandalis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 89 played minutes MEXICO got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Gutierrez. Aristides Urtsin scored 5-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iphitos Skandalis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 96 minutes into the game, Americo Jon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Ferruccio Borrelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
