Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmelo Tiniebra in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernan Enekoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SMARTS FC's Hernan Enekoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Tiniebra in the 12th minute of play. Salvador Bastiaro's late challenge caught a Santa Fe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Bastiaro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, SMARTS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Bastiaro to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Enekoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Fernando Pratto in the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to SMARTS FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Camilo Naldo hit a great ball. Steve Rogers made a great header on Santa Fe's corner, it was just that SMARTS FC's Hernan Enekoitz managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 33rd minute, Rafael Ramos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Enekoitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Hernan Enekoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Tiniebra in the 36th minute of the match. The Santa Fe fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Santa Fe's Carmelo Tiniebra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Juan Fernando Pratto came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Santa Fe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Fernando Pratto couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Carmelo Tiniebra sped through SMARTS FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hernan Enekoitz. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The supporters of Santa Fe booed when SMARTS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Gora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Tiniebra's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Hernan Enekoitz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 71st match minute, SMARTS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Gora to maneuver through the defense. Santa Fe made a substitution. In the 76th minute, Santa Fe's Luis María Guadalupe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. 79 minutes into the match, Romulo Lalla dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hernan Enekoitz, 0-11. Santa Fe's Godofredo Rik was substituted for Juan Fernando Pratto. 84 minutes into the game, Romulo Lalla lined in a short shot 0-12 behind a frustrated Hernan Enekoitz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benito Erlantz during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Santa Fe booed when SMARTS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Erlantz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernan Enekoitz came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Fe's Romulo Lalla. But to his dismay, Romulo Lalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-13. After 94 played minutes Romulo Lalla rounded SMARTS FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-14. Romulo Lalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Hernan Enekoitz made a huge save.
