The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to TZILACATZIN getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Homero Thomson hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, TZILACATZIN's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Abalos came free, but Edinho Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gustaf Bogren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edinho Lira was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Huracan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Cabrera came free, but Arne Pettersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Huracan FC's Arne Pettersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Homero Thomson in the 19th minute of play. After some careless play in the TZILACATZIN defense, Alonzo Niguel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edinho Lira. The TZILACATZIN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edinho Lira should have stopped the shot. Arne Pettersson was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Daniel Cabrera capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Cabrera really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. TZILACATZIN's Edinho Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Abalos in the 34th minute of play. Edinho Lira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaf Bogren went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Iwan Assendelft kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. TZILACATZIN's Daniel Cabrera got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Huracan FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herminio Abalos to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Cabrera in the 54th minute of play forced Huracan FC's goalkeeper Arne Pettersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Daniel Cabrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Huracan FC's goalkeeper Arne Pettersson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. TZILACATZIN were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Huracan FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victoriano Distiratsu took the corner. The corner led TZILACATZIN's Victoriano Distiratsu to fire away a dangerous shot which Arne Pettersson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Huracan FC's zone, Daniel Cabrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Pettersson came out of the goal and Daniel Cabrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Huracan FC made a substitution. Jairo Jaen replaced Gustaf Bogren. In the 81stth minute of the game Daniel Cabrera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huracan FC's Arne Pettersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edinho Lira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Jaen went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Huracan FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
