TZILACATZIN's Edinho Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Ramos in the 31st minute of play. Serafino Pancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Cabrera in the 34th minute of the match. TZILACATZIN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Victoriano Distiratsu in the 36th minute. In the 46th minute, Javier Chico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Romulo Lalla made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of TZILACATZIN booed when Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Coisne didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, TZILACATZIN's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Fernando Pratto came free, but Edinho Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edinho Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Lalla in the 63rd minute of play. In the 63rd minute Romulo Lalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Santa Fe's Sandro Coisne got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute Daniel Cabrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Pancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Homero Thomson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Daniel Cabrera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Serafino Pancho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Homero Thomson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Pancho having to interfere. The supporters of Santa Fe booed when TZILACATZIN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyryl Blicharz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Ramos got free with Edinho Lira in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The TZILACATZIN support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
