The audience was convinced that Feliciano Jaen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serafin Ugaitz was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. 7 minutes into the match, Invur Fondos de México FC's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Henrico came free, but Hermengildo Hermelando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dreas Van de Wal in the 39th minute of play forced Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goalkeeper Serafin Ugaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. András Soós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Serafin Ugaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Invur Fondos de México FC's Hermengildo Hermelando got control of the ball when Constantino Henrico tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The referee ignored Cacomixtles de Queretaro's protests and gave Generoso Semeno a yellow card for diving instead.
