The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iwan Assendelft during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of The Old Boys booed when Huracan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iwan Assendelft didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herminio Abalos in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerardo Guerau saved The Old Boys from getting behind. With a little luck, Huracan FC's Arne Pettersson got control of the ball when Monte Susanin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Wang Kun Yang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arne Pettersson. Huracan FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wang Kun Yang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
