Ferruccio Borrelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute Frutos Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Pancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Frutos Macedo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Serafino Pancho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Santa Fe booed when Tiburones Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frutos Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Bemabe. After a rather tough play, Santa Fe's Rigoberto Lobo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ferruccio Borrelli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romulo Lalla went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Santa Fe's Romulo Lalla got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ferruccio Borrelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Fernando Pratto in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Santa Fe getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Rigoberto Lobo hit a great ball. Rigoberto Lobo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 77 minutes into the match. Tiburones Rojos made a substitution. Ruben Lorien replaced Feliciano Sesuldo. The referee gave Tiburones Rojos a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Robert Haaland, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Santa Fe's Serafino Pancho. 2-3.
