When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Huang Rong put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alexandros Ismael. Golden Generation's attentive Juliusz Chmelyk managed to snatch the ball when Niklas Pedersson made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Alexandros Ismael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Enoaia in the 31st minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Golden Generation got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Arnau. In a very dangerous position, a player in Águilas Poblanas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! 42 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's goal looked a bit too open when Huang Rong came free, but Alexandros Ismael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Águilas Poblanas's Eusebio Beltran was substituted for Jacinto Galeno. Golden Generation made a substitution. Elivélton Cunha replaced Huang Rong. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barnaba Ciborek to strike the kick off in the second half. Turgay Şeren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Beltran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnaba Ciborek in the 58th minute of play forced Águilas Poblanas's goalkeeper Alexandros Ismael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnaba Ciborek in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandros Ismael saved Águilas Poblanas from getting behind. Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Malvin in the 66th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barnaba Ciborek in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandros Ismael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 87 minutes Águilas Poblanas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ulises Dimas who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ulises Dimas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael did a great save. Eusebio Beltran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Turgay Şeren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iker Urti during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alexandros Ismael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yorrick Hekman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Golden Generation eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
