The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Baltasar Jesco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oswaldo Murillo. Kosteños's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltasar Jesco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 6 minutes into the match, Kosteños's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Victoro came free, but Oswaldo Murillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oswaldo Murillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernabe Ladio, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute Bernabe Ladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Murillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Ove Lundblad came free, but Samuel Evarado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rareș Taşcău hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Oswaldo Murillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Ladio in the 17th minute of play. Oswaldo Murillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Ekaitz in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Bernabe Ladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Murillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oswaldo Murillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 37 minutes into the game, Hermosillo FC's Bernabe Ladio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oswaldo Murillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Julio Montes's late challenge caught a Hermosillo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julio Montes helped the player get up and apologised. Kosteños's Oswaldo Murillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Ekaitz in the 41st minute of play. Baltasar Jesco scored 0-5 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oswaldo Murillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Hermosillo FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yu Jing to strike the kick off in the second half. Emiliano Victoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Murillo having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Baltasar Jesco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oswaldo Murillo. Baltasar Jesco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. 58 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Corderro notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Kosteños's Oswaldo Murillo. Oswaldo Murillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Oswaldo Murillo managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Hermosillo FC's Yu Jing fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 69 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Qerim Shala came free, but Samuel Evarado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oswaldo Murillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Ladio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Baltasar Jesco took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Oswaldo Murillo to make any attempt to save it. Hermosillo FC made a substitution. Alejandro Lope replaced Javier Quentin. In the 76th minute, Timoteo Abeijon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oswaldo Murillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Su in the 78th minute of the match. Oswaldo Murillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Jesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81stth minute of the game Baltasar Jesco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kosteños's Oswaldo Murillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oswaldo Murillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Ladio in the 86th minute of the match. Oswaldo Murillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yu Jing in the 89th minute. Kosteños's Oswaldo Murillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Kosteños from getting a goal against them. Baltasar Jesco took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oswaldo Murillo. Oswaldo Murillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. When the match was over Hermosillo FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kosteños throughout the match.
