An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 9th minute of play forced Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Jonathan Errapel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Errapel having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Transito got free with Dante Lacasa in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Laureano Sustrai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Transito to make the kick off. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the match, Laureano Sustrai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laureano Sustrai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 92nd minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 93 played minutes Santa Maradona got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Beltxe. Wei Kang Hai charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wei Kang Hai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wei Kang Hai hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Jonathan Errapel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
