In the 24th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 28th minute of play forced Don Malbec's goalkeeper Emilian Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilian Martinez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4.

Emilian Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Martinez having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Lasso in the 72nd minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Sexto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Don Malbec's Camilo Sexto in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Don Malbec's Emilian Martinez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Don Malbec from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emilian Martinez could save by the left post. A collision led to Don Malbec getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Elmas Veloz hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Don Malbec.
