Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dominik Brett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mysarnas BK's Inocencio Ruiz Tagle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of play. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Ruiz Tagle having to interfere. Inocencio Ruiz Tagle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Ruiz Tagle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Mysarnas BK defense, Eliseo Mina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inocencio Ruiz Tagle. The Mysarnas BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inocencio Ruiz Tagle should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Tales De Lima hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 57 minutes Mysarnas BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peru's Eliseo Mina got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Julian Murillo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Peru's Joaquin Prats managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tomas Ahlström in the 69 minute of the game. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominik Brett in the 70th minute of the match. Inocencio Ruiz Tagle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 74th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Peru's Inocencio Ruiz Tagle threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julian Murillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 79th minute of the match, Julian Murillo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Inocencio Ruiz Tagle saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Eliseo Mina hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Jörn Magnusson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolando Noboa. Peru's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
