Talleres de Escalada's Martin Leheren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Orlando Casaus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Casaus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Talleres de Escalada's Rigoberto Argider got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Leheren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Martin Leheren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Talleres de Escalada's goalkeeper Martin Leheren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chile were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Talleres de Escalada's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. The corner led Chile's Xavier Figueroa to fire away a dangerous shot which Martin Leheren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Martin Leheren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. 79 minutes into the match, Talleres de Escalada's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Martin Leheren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonny Saran hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Talleres de Escalada's attentive Ioan Pușcașu managed to snatch the ball when Jose Manzanedo made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Leheren having to make a save. Martin Leheren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 88th minute of the match.
