Fred Ferreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. Lorenzo Yepes kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Mota came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corumbaense F.C.'s Luís Eduardo dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Luque in the 41st minute of play. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Ferreira in the 43rd minute of play. Amadeu Velloso charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amadeu Velloso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Corumbaense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruy Mota in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
