After having played for 41 minutes, Edgard Lécuyer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tequileros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Lécuyer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Tequileros FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Lécuyer was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Edgard Lécuyer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Edgard Lécuyer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tequileros FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ayhan Vuralhan was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Ayhan Vuralhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Osoro in the 63rd minute of the match. Tequileros FC's Ayhan Vuralhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Tequileros FC from getting a goal against them.
