The USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Edward Mcdonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Eate having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Cassius Byrne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of USA booed when Club Atletico Chusca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. 贺皓扬 didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Moreira in the 22nd minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafin Eate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 31stth minute of the game Cassius Byrne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Chusca's Serafin Eate was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Monty Rogers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafin Eate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diego Bradley hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Aristides Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. After the first half USA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Club Atletico Chusca's Leonardo Gumaro was substituted for Baldomero Montae. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Serafin Eate made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. Serafin Eate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The ball had pretty good speed, but Serafin Eate firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 67thth minute of the game Lauro Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Club Atletico Chusca's Lauro Moreira in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye USA's goalie prevented a goal. In the 78th minute Lauro Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. Sam Campbell's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Serafin Eate firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 90th minute USA were awarded a corner. Jenson Smith went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam Campbell got free with Serafin Eate in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Despite being the better team, USA failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
