Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona made the kick off and thus started the match. Severiano Rua came free with the goalkeeper in the 3rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luca Zorita in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Montes Quevedo saved Fetiyerd from getting behind. Fetiyerd's Montes Quevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 8th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Montes Quevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Montes Quevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montes Quevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 14th minute of play. Fetiyerd's Montes Quevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Lautaro Mancebo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Montes Quevedo was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Montes Quevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play. Severiano Rua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Severiano Rua tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Rivas, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Aurelio Rivas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fetiyerd's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Rivas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Joel Gaona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Rivas's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 48th minute, Severiano Rua ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelio Rivas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Fetiyerd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Rua to maneuver through the defense. Arjen Robben hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Fetiyerd's Montes Quevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 57th minute of play. Montes Quevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Gaona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 65 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Severiano Rua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Severiano Rua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Montes Quevedo in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fetiyerd's Oliverios Astudillo was substituted for Vinicio Carballeira. Fetiyerd's Arjen Robben quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leonardo Leoz, made in the 74th minute of the game. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Montes Quevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Montes Quevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 90th minute of play. After 95 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. In the 97th minute, Mexico's Felix Luque seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felix Luque the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mexico protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felix Luque had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 97th minute, one of Mexico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mexico. In the 100th minute there was a penalty for Fetiyerd. Severiano Rua stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dante Lacasa. 2-2. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
