A sloppy throw-in by Luis Cazalla in the 14th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by C.A Gryffindor's Renato Nevares. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Bergkamp in the 18th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Bergkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.A Gryffindor's Renato Nevares quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Cazalla, made in the 22nd minute of the game. Colombia's Antonio Indiano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sarracino Marsano, made in the 46th minute of the game. C.A Gryffindor's Cássio Corinth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A collision led to C.A Gryffindor getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Marquinhos Filho hit a great ball.
