An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Hoffmann in the 14th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 17th minute of the match. Oswaldo Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 22nd minute of play. Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Atlético-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Oswaldo Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswaldo Paraíba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37thth minute of the game Alberto Tafalla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oswaldo Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oswaldo Paraíba. Oswaldo Paraíba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedrinho Hoffmann was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Hoffmann in the 56th minute of play. Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 57th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Macos Graciani got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oswaldo Paraíba quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Oswaldo Paraíba was a little too slow when Macos Graciani got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-2. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Oswaldo Paraíba however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute, one of Mexico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mexico. Dráuzio Barral walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 77th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oswaldo Paraíba saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Oswaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 88th minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Oswaldo Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Atlético-PR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perivaldo Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Sampaio came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético-PR throughout the match.
