The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Malcolm Kruuse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to fire away a dangerous shot which Malcolm Kruuse despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Malcolm Kruuse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 7th minute of the match. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by JKs Talanger's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. 27 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Malcolm Kruuse. JKs Talanger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Villiam Lägdin kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Malcolm Kruuse. JKs Talanger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of play forced JKs Talanger's goalkeeper Malcolm Kruuse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Hamberg came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bengt Hamberg to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Niklas Bagge sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Daniel Zorita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 61st playminute. 64 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Malcolm Kruuse. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Kruuse having to interfere. JKs Talanger's Malcolm Kruuse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save JKs Talanger from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Malcolm Kruuse in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th match minute, JKs Talanger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ragnar Fribäck to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Malcolm Kruuse made a huge save. In the 92nd minute, Henry Nyberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador played a much better game than JKs Talanger and deserved their victory. The JKs Talanger players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
