In the 13th minute of the match BEIJO CARNAVAL got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aristides Lehior ran over to the corner to take the kick. BEIJO CARNAVAL's Aristides Lehior was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dante Lacasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 17th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Abarca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Godfredo Abarca. BEIJO CARNAVAL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Jönsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rigoberto Olayo. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Godfredo Abarca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 40 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godfredo Abarca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute Richard Peso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BEIJO CARNAVAL's Godfredo Abarca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save BEIJO CARNAVAL from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Jönsson in the 66th minute of play. Richard Peso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Richard Peso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, BEIJO CARNAVAL's goalkeeper Godfredo Abarca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. BEIJO CARNAVAL made a substitution. Romulo Arias replaced Rigoberto Olayo. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Beltxe charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Beltxe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in BEIJO CARNAVAL fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Joel Gaona walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The BEIJO CARNAVAL fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
