Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Olliver Todman started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar. Ollie Flesfadar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 4 minutes into the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Australian Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie Flesfadar didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Australian Youth Academy's Herman Heberle quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alex Chicote, made in the 9th minute of the game. Australian Youth Academy's attentive Brayden Carberry managed to snatch the ball when Joshua Secada made a throw-in in the 18th minute of the game. Dani Cochrane didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 22 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dani Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dani Cochrane. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Dani Cochrane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dani Cochrane came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 34th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Cochrane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Brayden Carberry. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Australian Youth Academy's Brayden Carberry quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 41st minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Tomas Illescas took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Dani Cochrane to make any attempt to save it. In the 56th minute of the game Alex Chicote made a throw-in which Patricio Costa played forward. Dani Cochrane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Tomas Illescas could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Dani Cochrane however easily saved by the left post. In the 60th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Cochrane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Dani Cochrane made a huge save. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Ben Minton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dani Cochrane was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 78th minute of play. Dani Cochrane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 81st minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Australian Youth Academy's Brayden Carberry. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute of the game Camilo Gaos made a throw-in which Tomas Illescas played forward. Venezuela played a much better game than Australian Youth Academy and deserved their victory. The Australian Youth Academy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
