Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Moises Fernandino started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Magrina to maneuver through the defense. Gwen De Meulder took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When El Salvador's Moises Fernandino in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting Westmeerbeek's goalie prevented a goal. Abram Luque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Verhulst having to interfere. Norbert Verhulst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norbert Verhulst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Leguizamo in the 15th minute of play. Abram Luque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Norbert Verhulst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norbert Verhulst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norbert Verhulst stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moises Fernandino's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Westmeerbeek's zone, Moises Fernandino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norbert Verhulst came out of the goal and Moises Fernandino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norbert Verhulst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Sporting Westmeerbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gwen De Meulder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Dominick Verengen made the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Marco Tamayo. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yoeri Van Der Straeten in the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Dominick Verengen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Marco Tamayo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yoeri Van Der Straeten in the 65th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentino Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Abram Luque's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norbert Verhulst read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Norbert Verhulst in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Dominick Verengen came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Leguizamo.
