When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Miguel Miralles put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Norbert Balonek. In the 39th minute João Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Balonek having to interfere. Norbert Balonek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 43rd minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Norbert Balonek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Panama were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Balonek having to interfere. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abraham Alguacil hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When Attila Kertész fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goianésia E.C's protests and gave Attila Kertész a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Berganza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Norbert Balonek made a huge save. In the 72nd minute Gabi Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Goianésia E.C getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Mathias Vidal hit a great ball. When Abraham Alguacil came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Berganza got free with Norbert Balonek in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Panama players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Goianésia E.C from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
