In the 29th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shota Stopa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shota Stopa came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Pezerik's Just Fontaine fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 39th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Salvador Gisbert was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Just Fontaine was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zé Carlos Vale, made in the 69th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the match, Pezerik's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Shota Stopa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pezerik's Just Fontaine got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Pezerik's Just Fontaine nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After 85 minutes, Just Fontaine made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavian Rutgeerts in the 93rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Just Fontaine's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pezerik fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
