Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Abram Sarmiento made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Heriberto Correa got a free kick in the 4th minute. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, William Villanueva took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. In the 12th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 16th minute of play. Colombia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when William Villanueva scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Manzanares, making the score, 2-0. Nery Pumpido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Orlando Tafalla in the 28th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by GuateFortín's Angel Alvarenga. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 31st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as William Villanueva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 3-0 in the 32 minute of play. The Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Colombia's Abram Sarmiento looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 38th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell William Villanueva to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Máximo Perrone to maneuver through the defense. In the 52nd minute of the match Axel Montenegro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nery Pumpido showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Nery Pumpido in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of GuateFortín booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santino Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Thierry Henry. In the 62nd minute, Fabio Huezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Nery Pumpido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. 66 minutes into the game, William Villanueva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. William Villanueva took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Nery Pumpido made a huge save. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of William Villanueva's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute, Abram Secada reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nery Pumpido. The goal made the score 5-2. In the 89th minute, Antonio Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 90 minutes, Angel Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GuateFortín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Alvarenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Danilo Ocampo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
