In the 9th minute, Frits Andriessen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VfL Wolfsburg's Olle Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Attila Kádár in the 13th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Attila Kádár in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olle Tunander saved VfL Wolfsburg from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfons Delin in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulf Skoog saved Stardust Unicorns XI from getting behind. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stardust Unicorns XI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jerry Fristedt was slow to take the kick. During this time VfL Wolfsburg's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Jerry Fristedt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Stardust Unicorns XI's Ulf Skoog did a great save. In the 25th minute, Jerry Fristedt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VfL Wolfsburg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ulf Skoog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Fristedt in the 35th minute of the match. Olle Tunander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Attila Kádár went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 41 minutes into the game, Jerry Fristedt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ulf Skoog was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Attila Kádár struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Olle Tunander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stardust Unicorns XI. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerry Fristedt made a kick off. Frits Andriessen made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by VfL Wolfsburg's Yin Bing Ming. After 52 played minutes Stardust Unicorns XI got a freekick which was hit by Rocky Thunderbolt. With an all-out effort, VfL Wolfsburg's Ulf Skoog threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfons Delin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Stardust Unicorns XI getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Rocky Thunderbolt hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Alfons Delin took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Ulf Skoog to make any attempt to save it. Stardust Unicorns XI's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Alfons Delin scored to the left of an out of position Ulf Skoog, making the score, 1-4. After a rather tough play, Stardust Unicorns XI's Cristinel Turbatu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. It was beautiful to see VfL Wolfsburg's Jerry Fristedt in action when he in the 74th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Jerry Fristedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Skoog having to interfere. Olle Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attila Kádár in the 78th minute of play. Stardust Unicorns XI's Ulf Skoog played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfons Delin in the 80th minute of play. After 81 minutes Stardust Unicorns XI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jerry Fristedt who took care of the corner kick. Ulf Skoog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Delin in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to VfL Wolfsburg getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Bertil Fanström hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute Attila Kádár shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Stardust Unicorns XI's zone, Alfons Delin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulf Skoog came out of the goal and Alfons Delin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. VfL Wolfsburg's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
