The PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arturo Gordo should have stopped the shot. Cauan Botelho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Arturo Gordo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Arturo Gordo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Charles de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Zalayeta in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Tian Kuan in the 26th minute of play forced PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's goalkeeper Arturo Gordo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Gordo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cauan Botelho in the 30th minute. Nelson Gutiérrez hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Atlético Capixaba's Erland Slyngstad was substituted for Cauan Botelho. PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON made a substitution. Leoiar Moncada replaced Paolo Montero. Atlético Capixaba made a substitution. Cristóvão Varela replaced Peder Ferro. A collision led to PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atlético Capixaba fans cheered their team off the field, for while PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
