A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Iacovella got free with Arturo Gordo in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carloforte f.c.'s Beppe Savoia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Macho in the 46th minute of play. Arturo Gordo stood somewhat misplaced when Arturo De Vito came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 48 minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alessandro Iacovella made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Marcelo Zalayeta could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Beppe Savoia however easily saved by the left post. PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's Arturo Gordo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo De Vito in the 56th minute of play. After 80 minutes, Serafin García mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON and the Carloforte f.c. players grew even worse after the yellow card.
